What it is
A fine-needled handpiece is passed across the skin to create thousands of tiny channels, which prompts your own collagen to rebuild. It is the best-evidenced thing we do for texture, and the results keep improving for weeks after the last session.
What people choose it for
- Uneven texture and enlarged-looking pores
- Old acne marks and shallow scarring
- Skin that has lost a little firmness
- Fine lines around the eyes and mouth
What to expect
- 01
Numbing first
A topical numbing cream goes on for around twenty minutes, so the treatment itself is comfortable rather than something to brace for.
- 02
The pass
Twenty to thirty minutes of steady work across the face, depth adjusted by area. Most people describe it as a firm vibration.
- 03
Calm and protect
A soothing serum and SPF. You will look flushed, rather like mild sunburn, and that settles over the following day or two.
Good to know
Questions people actually ask
How many sessions will I need?
Three to four, four weeks apart, is the usual course. You will see something after the first, but the real change shows around the third.
Does it hurt?
Not meaningfully, thanks to the numbing cream. The forehead and along the jaw are the parts people notice most.
When can I wear makeup again?
The following day. We would rather you left skin bare overnight and used nothing but a plain moisturiser and SPF.
When will I see results?
Skin looks brighter within a week. Texture and firmness build over six to twelve weeks as collagen rebuilds, which is why the course is spaced the way it is.
Suitability, aftercare and the honest bits
Expect warmth and redness for twenty-four to seventy-two hours, and keep the treated skin out of strong sun while it settles. It is not suitable during pregnancy, over active acne or infected skin, or if you are prone to keloid scarring — we will talk this through at consultation before anything is booked.
Everything here is covered properly at your consultation, and you can ask us anything at any point before you book.
